About Brig. Agha Ahmad Gul(R)
Brig Agha Ahmad Gul (R) belongs to Quetta. After graduation, he joined the Pakistan Army and was commissioned in 1968. During the service spanning over 34 years, he has held several Command, Staff and Instructional appointments in Army, Joint Services and abroad on deputation. He earned Master’s Degrees in War Studies and later, Defence and Strategic Studies from QAU, Islamabad. His interests include geopolitics, military systems, history and the geo-historic study of Balochistan. He has represented Pakistan in international seminars in Sydney, Australia, in Honolulu, Hawaii and Colombo, Sri Lanka. He writes on professional subjects and his articles have been published mostly in military journals. He was awarded Commendation Card by Chairman JCSC and Sitara-a-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan. In the civil sector, he served as CEO of QESCO, the power utility of entire Balochistan; served on senior management position in Sui Southern Gas Company; and has been Vice Chancellor, University of Balochistan, Quetta. He is the Founder of and a Consultant with BTTN, formally inaugurated on 26th August 2021.
